Mustard and Thyme came to us when they were only a few weeks old. They along with four of their siblings were rescued from a backyard in Long Island, NY. The landlord of the property didn’t want anyone feeding or caring for the kittens and the neighbors feared for their well being.
They were all incredibly shy when they came to Sarama. It took a long time and a lot of TLC to get them acclimated to indoor life with humans. Their foster parents continued to work with them and one day Thyme decided he was to be the most affectionate snuggly kitten in the house! Though Mustard remained on the shy said he also adjusted and began to play and relax inside. Thyme was his security blanket and we knew we had to find these two a home together.
When they were six months old we got an inquiry from someone who lived close by who specifically wanted to adopt a bonded pair. When he came to meet Mustard and Thyme, we knew it was a perfect match. He already had a room set up for them so he could acclimate them slowly to their new home and he was patient and gentle with Mustard. We knew he would give him the space and guidance he needs.
We are grateful to the neighbors who stepped up and brought this litter to the rescue, Thyme and Mustards dedicated foster parents, Shawn and Shannon McMullen, and of course, to their wonderful adopter, Malachi for giving them a loving forever home.
