Mimi was a last minute pull from our local shelter inn Philly. She was “time stamped” which means scheduled to be euthanized. With only an hour left, a wonderful foster home contacted us about her. She would foster with intent to adopt if we pulled Mimi. If Mimi didn’t get along with her dogs she would foster till we found her another home. How could we say no? The next day we drove shy Mimi to her foster home where her foster mom and new brother Jake the Great Pyrenees was waiting for her on the sidewalk. Mimi was very scared at the shelter and shut down. Her foster mom did a slow intro with Mimi, Jake and the other dog, Rosie (a sweet senior New Foundland) and gave Mimi list of space and gentle guidance. It wasn’t long before everyone was getting along and Mimi’s foster mom became forever mom. We are so happy for Mimi and so grateful to her family!
