Kai was trapped when we were doing a TNR project in Gloucester City, NJ. He was very underweight with a dirty unkept coat. After surgery we keep the cats a few days to recover before releasing them back into their colony. That’s when we discovered how incredibly friendly Kai is! We knew that he would make a great companion for someone who wanted an indoor only cat. It was also clear that Kai was struggling outside by his body condition when we found him. It made perfect sense to transfer him into our adoption program so he could find a home.
Kai was in foster for about a month and gained weight. He made friends with everyone he met including kids and other cats. So when a potential adopter came to meet him, it didn’t take long for her to fall in love. Kai is a very affectionate and charming cat! She signed the adoption papers and took him home a fire days later. Kai settled into his new home quickly and loves being an indoor cat. He now never had to worry about shelter during bad weather or where he is going to get his next meal. And he can have all the snuggles and pets he wants!
